South face of St Peter & St Paul Church, Steeple Aston

            "A C13 church remodelled in the C14 and early C15. The Perp W tower has diagonal buttresses with blank shields and a deeply recessed W doorway with continuous hollow mouldings.  The S porch is also Perp, with a modern statue.  Its battlement parapet with gargoyles is continued around the nave and chancel.  The N aisle was rebuilt during the Perp campaign and again in 1842, when the church was restored by John Plowman."  Pevsner
