RECORD OF SERVICE AND MOVEMENTS: 1892 entered A.M.S. (Army Medical Service). 1892 September: Netley on probation.( 4 months). 1893 February: Aldershot School of instruction (2 months). 1893 April: Posted to Southern District for Duty, Portsmouth and Gosport.(4 months). 1895 September: Embarked for India on H.T. Victoria. 1895 October: Posted to Rohilshand district, in Bareilly, Shahjehanpur and Ranikhet. 1897 August: Tirah Campaign (No 9 Field Hospital – 4th Brigade). 1900 February: Six months sick leave in UK. 1900 September: Returned to India, Lucknow and Boer POW camp in Shahjehanpur. 1901 December: Return to UK for one month posting. 1902 February: South African field force. 1902 October: returned to UK to senior course at RAMC College, served in Woolwich and appointed secretary to the Advisory Board on Venereal Disease. 1905 March: posted to Valetta and Cottonera, Garrison Staff Surgeon, and staff Surgeon to Duke of Connaught. 1909 September: return to UK attached to MO Staff at War Office and appointed MO 6 in Directorate of Military Operations. 1914 February: Sierra Leone Military Hospital Freetown. 1915 March: British Expeditionary Force, Malassise Hospital (near St Omer). A.D.M.S. 15th Division, D.D.M.S. IV Corps, GHQ South and VI Corps. 1918 23rd December: posted as Chief of Mission in Berlin to evacuate wounded POWs’. 1919 5th April : posted to British Military Mission in Berlin (head of political section). 1920 January/ posted ADMS Shorncliffe District. Here the record ends but we know he was posted to London and became D.D.G. of the R.A.M.C. in 1922. 

PUBLICATIONS: “Manual of Venereal Diseases” 1913 2nd Edition. “System of Syphilis diseases” Power and Murphy London 1910. “The treatment of Venereal disease and Scabies in the Amy” 1904 for the Advisory Board for Medical Services. 

MISCELLANEOUS: Practical knowledge of German, French, Austrian, Italian, Swiss, Swedish medical schools and hospitals civil and military. Represented War Office at various Medical Congresses on the Continent. Represented War Office at Int. Red Cross Conference, Washington DC 1912 and at General Medical Congress in London 1913.
