            ROTTERDAM – MOLEN DE ZANDWEG
A flour grinding mill built in 1723.  The City of Rotterdam acquired the mill in 1959, and engaged in a total renovation, completed in 1962.  The mill is regularly operated and can be visited, and, on this particular Saturday, we happened to catch it open for National Monument Day.  The Molenaar graciously invited us in and gave us a complete tour. 

A tangential connection, an uncle and aunt, together with their children lived in the Molenaar's house next door for many years.
