Coming back from our holiday week in the region of Trentino, where we spent the most of the time taking baths at the lake or visiting mountain farms for the pleasure of our little boy, we stopped in Madonna di Campiglio, a blasonated village (loved by rich people) at the feet of the Brenta's Dolomites. 
My wife decided to go for some shopping, therefore, to save my heart and our family, I put the child on a cable lift and I ran away with him. Then, following a sign that indicated a lake at 15 minutes of walking, I ventured in the mountains with my little son. The trail, running flat on the side of the mountain, took us to a small lake, with a great vista on the Dolomites. It was a lovely path, except for the fact that, on one side, it looked right into a small abyss (I would say 250m). Therefore, for the joy of my son, I raised him above my shoulders and he could enjoy the trip without walking at all.
I loved the view from this specific point, and I wanted absolutely to take a shot. I looked inside the abyss, then I spent thirty seconds reflecting on the best way to act. I put my son on the ground, I made him sit on a rock far from the cliff, then, knowing that to say “Luca, stand still” would have sounded to his young hears like “Luca, jump from the rock” I gently sat on his legs to nail him in the safe position. While he was laughing I took this picture. 
Once we were back in the village, I met my wife... she was a bit sad, the shops were not going to open before four in the afternoon, and we had to live because there was a lot to drive before getting home...

Then, driving home, I reflected on the words of the famous Sun Tzu book, “the art of War”:

… know the terrain of the battle... know your enemy... then fight.

... The highest summit in the view should be Cima Tosa, if someone can correct me, please write a comment.
