South Dakota World War II Memorial - a photo on Flickriver

            The South Dakota World War II Memorial is on the Capitol grounds in Pierre, SD.  The memorial is sited on a peninsula on Capitol Lake. 

The memorial consists of six bronze figures representing the branches of service in which South Dakotans served during WWII.  They are portrayed as warriors fresh from battle.  Each figure is about six feet tall.
