Rothenburg - Siebers Tower - a photo on Flickriver

            Rothenburg ob der Tauber is the best preserved medieval town in Germany.  The Bavarian town was founded in 1170.

The Siebers Tower (Siebersturm) was built in 1204. When it was built, the tower was the southern entrance to the town until the Spital quarter was included with the walls.

This is one of the most famous views in the town.  The view is looking down Untere Schmiedgasse toward the fork in the street - the Little Square (Plönlein).  Siebers Tower is to the left and the Kobolzell Gate is to the right.
