Winter in Indiana (53) - a photo on Flickriver

            After our biggest snowfall of the year, I went out to take some photos.  I was pretty sure this location would give a decent view of the river, so I parked in an adjacent parking lot.  As i neared this spot, the portion of the parking lot I was walking through had not been plowed.  Since I had boots on, I wasn't too worried about that.  However, as I was walking towards the riverbank, I tripped over a curb that was hidden by the snow.  I fell, but was not hurt.  My problem was than I was holding onto my car keys inside my jacket pocket.  As I reached my hands out to brace my fall, the keys fell from my hands and into the snow (it was over 1 ft. deep)  My fall had disturbed the snow, so I could not see exactly where my keys landed.  It was about 7 degrees Fahrenheit, and I was locked out of my car, 5 miles from home.  Not good.  Fortunately after some frantic searching, I found my keys, took a few photos (wasn't going to skip that!) and made my way back to the warm car.  I decided that I had taken enough photos that morning, and headed home, not wanting to press my luck with any other misadventures.
