            Here's another good reason to go for a walk in the woods now, for this sulphur shelf is commonly called the "chicken of the woods". This particular species fruits on dead oak trees or large downed oak logs. This is a great mushroom for folks who are just getting into wild mushroom foraging for there are no toxic mushrooms, or any other mushrooms for that matter, that look anything like it, so identification is a piece of cake. That orange flesh does fry up to taste very much like chicken!
