A ruff of ice - a photo on Flickriver

A ruff of ice

            I felt a bit ropy this morning after the vaccination but managed a gentle stroll to the water meadows this afternoon. The water level had dropped since last Friday and there was a surprising amount of open water given it was -2°C this afternoon and was meant to be -7°C last night. Further into the meadows the ice was more prevalent and thicker.
