F2 International Trophy, Silverstone, 30.3.84

Pascal Fabre sits in the pits in his RMO/PMC/Bob Sparshott Automotive March-BMW 842 during the Friday free practice prior to qualifying on Saturday and raceday on Sunday. In the race he ran strongly in the top ten but fell back as his tyres grained, eventually coming home an excellent fifth. Fabre was a winner in Formula 2 and Formula 3000, but constantly had to battle to raise enough funds to move through lower formulae to achieve progression. He participated in 14 Grands Prix with the uncompetitive AGS team, debuting on 12 April 1987; scoring no championship points he was replaced before the end of the season by Roberto Moreno. His best finish was ninth place in both the French and British Grands Prix. After his Formula 1 career ended, Pascal went straight into sportscars, in which he remained until the early-to-mid 2000's, with only a very brief diversion into touring cars in the 1990's.
