Snowy Owl

            We arrived at the last parking lot around 7am. It was still a little dark and extremely foggy. The fog never lifted and got worse as the morning rolled on. We took the two mile hike to the jetty. We were among the first to get there. Four other birders almost turned around, they couldn't find it. Bill spotted it first about 100 feet away. Just an amazing morning laying in the sand firing away. Turns out the weather made for some great shots. Really didn't think they were going to come out like this. Used some very slow shutter speeds and a monopod. Later found out we walked right by another one, couldn't see it on the dunes because of the fog.
