Santa Fe Setout Saturday - a photo on Flickriver

            On December 17th, 1986, a Santa Fe eastbound pulled into town and setout a Milwaukee Road gondola.  Train had ATSF 2314-2338-2724, 26 cars and ATSF caboose 999199.  They setout Milwaukee Road gondola #81524? into their side of the interchange track.  I was on and off the train taking pictures.  

ATSF GP38u #2314 was built by EMD as ATSF GP38 #3514 in June of 1970.  

ATSF GP38u #2338 was built by EMD as ATSF GP38 #3538 in August of 1970 and is still in service as BNSF GP39-3 #2537.

ATSF GP30u #2724 #2724 was built by EMD as ATSF GP30 #1224 in June of 1962 and is shown here in Kodachrome colors.  

ATSF Class CE-1 wide vision caboose #999199 is seen on the train today.

Conductor "Fuzz" can be seen working on the ground.  Train came into the interchange and took headroom towards the CR's Danville secondary and then shoved the Milw gon into the east end of the Santa Fe's siding in town.  Charlie was the engineer and there were 4 guys total.  Views are from around the area of West Graham street and the US 24/52 intersection.
