El Alcázar de Segovia, que data de principios del siglo XII, es uno de los castillos medievales más famosos del mundo y uno de los monumentos más visitados de España. Por sus estancias han pasado veintidós reyes, además de algunos de los personajes más destacados de la historia. Orson Welles lo utilizó en Campanadas a Medianoche, y es común además la creencia de que su contorno esbelto y elegante fue una de las inspiraciones que usó Walt Disney para su castillo de La Cenicienta, que a su vez se convirtió en el famoso icono de las películas de la compañía Disney.
