The middle way juxtapose - a photo on Flickriver

            Buddha, the renunciate, shares a display shelf with a bright red tinsel glitter sparkle shoe from my sis in law's last play in our community theater. 
I think even Buddha eventually renounced complete asceticism, advising us to find the middle way.....a foot in both worlds, so to speak.  Tho I doubt he meant one of them in this shoe. :-)
