Majestic Snæfellsjökull - a photo on Flickriver

It is already more than 4 years ago that I visited Iceland, a wonderful rough country, and although the weather was not very wonderful, the landscape is amazing. Here BTW the weather was great, this was my first day there, and after this sunny day, we had 12 days almost filled with water pouring down from the sky.

I earlier posted two shots of Snæfellsjökull (flickr.com/photos/115540984@N02/50053834886/in/album-7215..., flickr.com/photos/115540984@N02/31372140557/in/album-7215...), and when you drive north of Reykjavik you can drive all around it, and that's what we did. Stunning landscape everywhere.

This shot is a stitched image of 36 pictures, taken with a 200 mm lens. I sometimes use a 200 mm (or a 100 mm, flickr.com/photos/115540984@N02/50541021748/in/album-7215...) to crop landscape elements (here the house) to give a better impression of the dimensions. With a standard 17mm lens you never can achieve that.
