Wing patterns - a photo on Flickriver

Wing patterns

I am not a macro photographer. Although I have a nice macro lens, I don't use it often, my focus is more the larger world around me.
But this dragonfly was sitting so nicely, even I noticed it! And I used my 200 mm telelens to portrait this wonderful animal, with its beautifully structured wings.

Since I saw the wonderful series from Joeke Pieters (www.flickr.com/photos/joekepieters/), I guess this is a newly hatched dragonfly, that is still drying its wings.
