Not much to talk about - a photo on Flickriver

            In July, I decided to go to Granville Island, Vancouver's #2 top tourist location, and try to do some street shots. For those of you who don't know, Granville Island is a public market right by the water, usually hustling and bustling with crowds of people, especially in summer. 
When I went, because of COVID, there was hardly anyone there. Used to the crowds, it was a very strange feeling walking around such an empty place. The market, itself, had security guards, and it was easy to stay away from other people. This wonderful place is now in big financial trouble, as it was closed for so long. They have gotten some government funding, but they still fear the place will close next year.
I was walking by the back of Bridges restaurant, a usually very popular place, and saw two of the chefs out back having a coffee break. The looks on their faces said it all.Not much to do, and an unknown future for them. 
I tried this in black and white, but because their demeanors were so downcast, I wanted to show the contrast with the bright yellow walls.
