LA Transit / Future - End of the Line for Harbor Subdivision

            In recent months the former Harbor Division freight railroad has been severed in preparation for building the Crenshaw Corridor light rail system along the right-of-way north of this point. In the near distance is a Northrop Grumman facility. In back is Direct TV in a building earlier occupied by Boeing.

Area: Florence Av between Crenshaw Bl and Manchester Av and Aviation Bl between Manchester Av and Imperial Hwy

As part of the construction of Crenshaw/LAX Transit Project, Walsh-Shea Corridor Constructors will begin removal of old railroad track along the Metro’s right-of way from Florence Av between Crenshaw Bl and Manchester Av and Aviation Bl between Manchester Av and Imperial Hwy. Railroad crossings at the intersections will be removed in the future. It is anticipated that the work is scheduled to begin Monday, February 3, 2014, for approximately 4 months, from 7:00 am to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, weather permitting."
