De Aare-kloof is een 1400 meter lang en 200 meter diep natuurwonder. Het ligt in het Haslital, in het oostelijke Berner Oberland aan de voet van de Grimsel- en Sustenpas.

Het Haslital is een van de grote dwarse valleien van het Alpenmassief. Het strekt zich uit van de Grimselpas tot aan de Brienzersee. De vlakke valleibodem van de onderste vallei wordt gescheiden van de bovenste vallei door een imposante rotsbar, genaamd "Kirchet". In de loop van tienduizenden jaren heeft de Aare zich een weg baant door de kalkrotsen van de "Kirchet" en zo de Aare-kloof gecreëerd, die op sommige plaatsen slechts 1 tot 2 meter breed is.

The Aare Gorge is a 1,400-meter-long and 200-meter-deep natural wonder. It is located in the Haslital Valley, in the eastern Bernese Oberland at the foot of the Grimsel Pass and Susten Pass.

The Haslital Valley is one of the largest transverse valleys in the Alpine massif. It stretches from the Grimsel Pass to Lake Brienz. The flat valley floor of the lower valley is separated from the upper valley by an imposing rocky ridge called the "Kirchet." Over tens of thousands of years, the Aare River has carved its way through the limestone cliffs of the "Kirchet," creating the Aare Gorge, which in some places is only 1 to 2 meters wide.
