The Pause Between Trees - a photo on Flickriver

            From the trail that wends its way along the St. John River, in Fredericton, New Brunswick.  Thoughts and prayers go to the city, where four were slain on Friday, two of whom were police officers.  Apparently, one of the officers had just gone off duty, but responded to the call of "Shots Fired."  The day we were there, we had to stand by as police cars, vans, and motorcycles (yes, all in the plural) sped up the street we were walking along.  Never did find out the disturbance that day.  All in stark contrast to the peacefulness of this shot.
