Sweetwater Wetlands Park Early Reflections
Early morning is the best time to visit Gainesville's newest park. This image was taken around 8am, already very warm. The park opens at 7am, and during the Summer months, that is the best time before the sun rises too high. Also, the residents are more likely to be active before the heat sets in. So far I have seen a good assortment of water birds including Anhingas, Egrets, Great Blue Herons, a Green Heron, a Night Heron, a variety of ducks, turtles, frogs, fish, alligators, and a horse. I always see something new each time I visit.
A beautiful gem of an addition to Gainesville's parks and part of Paynes Prairie.
