10.08.2021 45627 (45562) 45699 !! Pendle Dalesman

            Wild Boar Fell and Mallerstang are bathed in a patchwork of light and shadow as the very popular Green Jubilee has just passed the site of  Ais Gill signal box with a 13 coach load, which I gather is a first for a jubilee over the Settle/Carlisle.
This is at times a cruel and frustrating pastime and despite almost constant early evening sunshine for the best part of 3 hours  you have to spare a thought for the large number of photographers   a couple of hundred yards down the line  waiting for it climbing up under the road bridge as they were were thwarted by cloud at virtually the last minute.
