El patio de las ánforas - The courtyard of the amphoras

            Estas ánforas se encuentran en uno de los patios interiores del noviciado de San Luis de los Franceses, actualmente sin uso religioso, la cuya iglésia y  la capilla interior están desacralizadas. 
Esta alfarería (en la imagen) que cubre uno de los patios dentro del conjunto monumental, fue utilizada como material de construcción para ahuecar, aligerar y como aislamiento térmico de los techos, cúpula de la iglésia y otros puntos de la arquitectura....Esta alfarería del siglo XVII también se usaba para la construcción y se aprovechaban incluso las partidas que salian de las fábricas con algún pequeño defecto.

These amphoras are found in one of the interior courtyards of the novitiate of San Luis de los Franceses, currently without religious use and whose church and interior chapel are desecrated. This pottery in the image, which covers one of the courtyards within the monumental complex, was used as a construction material to hollow out, lighten and as thermal insulation of the ceilings, the church's dome and other points of architecture ... Pottery from the seventeenth century was also used for construction and even the batches that left the factories with some small defect were used.
