NÖVOG E14 Wienerbruck (10992n) - a photo on Flickriver

            Dafür hat sich die Teilnahme an der Sonderfahrt schon rentiert. Trotz schlechtester Wetterprognosen kam beim Fotohalt am Lassingstausee die Sonne kurz zwischen den dichten Wolken hervor und leuchtete die Szenerie schön aus. Man fühlt sich beim Betrachten des Bildes in die 1960-er und 70-er Jahre versetzt, als solche Güterzüge mit Personenbeförderung auf der Mariazellerbahn verkehrten. Und die mustergültig erhaltene 1099.014 mit ihren über 100 Jahren Dienstzeit vermag mich stets aufs neue zu begeistern (Wienerbruck, 27. September 2021).  

For this, the participation in the special trip has already paid off. Despite the worst weather forecasts, the sun came out briefly between the dense clouds during the photo stop at Lassingstausee and illuminated the scenery beautifully. Looking at the picture, one feels taken back to the 1960s and 70s, when such freight trains with passenger transport ran on the Mariazellerbahn. And the perfectly preserved 1099.014 with its more than 100 years of service always manages to inspire me anew (Wienerbruck, September 27, 2021).
