ÖBB 1144.266 Breitenstein (6309n) - a photo on Flickriver

            Der EC 151 "Emona" von Wien HBF nach Ljubljana ist noch ein klassischer internationaler Fernzug. Bis Ende 2020 war dieser EuroCity eine der wenigen verbliebenen hochwertigen Reisezugleistungen für die Baureihe 1144. Am 21. September 2020 konnte ich die erst kürzlich in der HW Linz revisionierte und daher perfekt im Lack stehende 1144.266 vor dem besagten EC 151 auf dem Kalte Rinne Viadukt am Semmering fotografieren. Dieses Bauwerk der ältesten Gebirgsbahn Europas wurde bereits im Jahre 1853 fertiggestellt und zählt zum Weltkulturerbe. 

The EC 151 "Emona" from Vienna main station to Ljubljana is still a classic international long-distance train. Until the end of 2020, this EuroCity was one of the few remaining high-quality passenger train services for the class 1144 engines. On September 21, 2020, I was able to photograph ÖBB's 1144.266, which had only recently been overhauled and therefore had a perfect paint finish, in front of the aforementioned EC 151 on the so-called Kalte Rinne Viaduct at Semmering. This structure of the oldest mountain railroad in Europe was already completed in 1853 and is a World Heritage Site.
