Muted at Poteau

            Running as CPKC Train RK01-11, the Fort Smith Dodger, led by a pair of KCS Southern Belle Geeps head for Forth Smith Arkansas to swap cars with the other railroads in Forth Smith.

After a significant delay leaving Heavener due to mechanical problems with one of the locomotives, which was left in Heavener, the Fort Smith Dodger finally is headed for Fort Smith Arkansas after diverging off the CPKC Heavener Subdivision at Poteau Oklahoma. This was supposed to be a totally sunny day but as luck would have it the only patch of clouds in the entire Central US that morning was hanging out over Eastern Oklahoma and Western Arkansas, right where we were. The delay getting out of Heavener caused some of the cloud cover to burn off but not all of it, so by the time the train got onto this former Frisco Wooden bridge in Poteau the train was in muted sun with clear sky near by. 

It might have been muted sunlight but a matched pair of KCS Geeps will be a thing of the past at some point so it was worth keeping this pile of pixels.
