1880 Hamm Homestead Cabin - a photo on Flickriver

            Some night time light painting on this 1880s-vintage wood-and-stucco cabin restored in 2000 by the current owners, Philip and Amy Kruse, of Circle View Ranch near Interior South Dakota who, in addition to managing 130 head of cattle, run an eight-room BnB in a separate ranch house on the property. Alone on a grassy plain a stone’s toss from the broad White River, the remote cabin has no electricity, a pump for non-potable water, and an adjacent outhouse. But the modern beds are cozy, firewood is supplied at the outdoor fire ring and potbellied stove, including a 1920 Sears Roebuck catalog.
