The Magenta Minute

            Sunset this evening was mostly colorless until very late, when an unexpected band of deep purple/ magenta drifted across the clouds and then quickly disappeared.  The peaks are part of the Continental Divide, delineating the Pacific (far side) and Atlantic (this side) drainages, mirrored in the very still Red Rock Lake of the southern Rocky Mountains.
