First snow of winter #14 (Explore #177)

            The first snow of winter has fallen and there is more to come.

The best part is the sun being low gives for long shadows and strong contrast which brings out texture.

Radiation frost (also called hoar frost or hoarfrost) refers to the white ice crystals, formed on the ground or exposed areas, that form on cold clear nights when heat losses into the open skies cause objects to become colder than the surrounding air.

What is surprising is that this type of frost consists of hollow hexagonal tubes.
