The Liberty Memorial. The Official United States of America WWI Memorial located in Kansas City, Missouri. I shot this with a tripod and my old Canon D-Reb with a Tamron 28-105 f2.8 at 28mm. I positioned the tripod as low as it would go and shot at f22 for a 30 second exposure, because I wanted the details to be sharp all the way up and down the monument. While the shutter was open, two security officers approached and asked what I was doing there after the park was closed. I explained to them that I was photographing the memorial. They weren't really pleased with my answer and asked me to leave, I told them as soon as my shutter closed, I'd be happy to leave. I knew, at that precise moment, that I had a keeper! So remember, when law enforcement or security says you have to leave when your taking photos, you probably have at least one killer image! On Black Here
