Hallgrimskirkja - a photo on Flickriver

Hallgrimskirkja

            A trip back to 2014 tonight; Hallgrimskirkja is the striking church found in Reykjavík, designed by Guðjón Samúelsson and built between 1945 and 1986.

I reworked this image for our Architecture competition in the camera club (bagging second place which was nice!). Previously I had used HDR on the image but it was left with some fringing artefacts around the church, this time I opted for exposure blending to work on the sky and foreground separately, a technique I'm using more frequently these days.
