Ford N-950 Diesel - a photo on Flickriver

Ford N-950 Diesel

            Spotted this on the side of the road on the way back from Lake Mille Lacs area. I think it may have been some sort of brush clearing rig in the past- any ideas?

Aside from its astonishing rarity, this model shares its cab with my red 1965 F-100, so it was an extra special find. It is not there in Google's street view, which suggests that it either runs or was towed there.
