Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Entrance to Hogsmeade

This past trip I was finally able to get some good night shooting in at Islands of Adventure and, more specifically, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

On my (many) previous attempts it always seemed like there was some convention party taking place immediately after close. When that happens, not only are they setting up tables and food stations throughout Hogsmeade, but security becomes ruthless and you cannot get a shot off without them telling you it's time to pack and/or deliberately standing in front of your shot. While I understand that some people probably paid good money to reserve the park for the night, as did I to travel there on vacation.

Well this past trip not only did the park close at 7pm, at which point it was already dark, but the two security guards that were there were super nice. They let the other couple of wanderers and I take as many photos as we wanted and even offered to take some shots of us, if we needed.

When prompted as to why they weren't rushing us out, they simply stated that during the season and when permitted, visitors are free to shoot as they please, but can't walk 'backwards' (i.e. move towards the exit of the park and then back in). This made total sense and I made a point of not keep him that long -- I knew what I wanted, got it, and didn't want to abuse the privilege.
