Baby Pelican - a photo on Flickriver

Baby Pelican

            I'm going out on a limb here and saying this is a baby pelican, please feel free to correct me.
Another one from Longleat Safari Park.
This was taken at the maximum 300mm of my zoom lens which with the wide aperture f/5.6 blurred the background, when I converted to mono then added contrast the background went black, the exposure also helped this process and also a blue filter in efex pro.
I reduced the highlights slightly to bring out more detail then dodged and burned a little adding to the contrast.
I have loads more really cute monkey pictures amongst other things but I really like this picture so wanted to share it with you.
