365 Day 330*

See all those people behind me? It’s kind of hard to make out, but they are there. Lots of them! Most are laying down on sheets or towels or just the grass itself. They mainly have formed friendship circles and are chatting, conversing, or saying nothing at all.

But over there it’s just one guy reading a book. And over there is someone sleeping. Of course you’ll find tiny families there too with all their children. Oh and let’s not forget the stoners all huddling together in various pockets scattered throughout.

On days list this, you’ll likely find a circle of people playing African style drums for all to hear at various capacities. You know, depending if you realize you are paying attention or not. But even if you aren’t consciously listening, you are hearing and taking it all in. It just adds to the atmosphere.

In theory, I love doing things like that. And by “things like that” I actually mean “nothing at all”. But when given the option, like on my day off for example, when it boils down to it, you’ll most likely catch me out exploring something or even just running errands (which I actually kind of like to some degree).

So in closing, I shot in a total blur here with all that peace and relaxation hidden behind me is kind of appropriate.

The shot at hand? I had about 30 mins to kill on this day following an Eagles game from the bar. I found this path in Golden Gate Park coming out from Hippie Hill. I took advantage of the shadows from the shrubbery that surrounded the trail to produce the motion of my body. Typically during the day this type of motion isn’t attainable because of the sun. But the dark shadows and surrounding lighting provided what I think is a cool effect I’ve only conquered at night or dusk before this.

The album at hand? A perfect blend of rock but but with a very house music electronica sound over top of it. I love dancing to this kind of music. Each song is upbeat, catchy, and fun. A lot of the album also has this kind of scary deep intensity to it that I personally find enthralling.

Ahhh, but don't cha just love digital for that? You'd have to really know what you were doing if you used film, or go broke in developing costs. Ha!
