Stagecoach Manchester 265 (WFM 801K)

            Following on from the previous photostream upload (and also lurking in the background therein), here is another example of a very early vehicle, namely the second production Leyland National, new to Crosville in 1972.

This venerable specimen had found her way into the G M Buses South fleet along with a whole load of other pre-enjoyed Nationals, surviving long enough to pass into Stagecoach ownership, who even treated her to a repaint into white-and-stripe later on.

Like the Bullock's Metrobus featured previously, 265 was eventually preserved.
