Delusive frozen lake - a photo on Flickriver

            Furnas Lake, São Miguel, Azores, Portugal.

How awesome it would be if we could walk and skate along the frozen waters or Furnas Lake? Naturally, because of the temperate maritime climate of Azores islands, with mild temperatures ranging from 15º C (59ºF) in winter to a comfortable 27ºC (80ºF) in summer, we can only imagine it through the magic of  a long exposure, with the help of a neutral density filter.

Quão espectacular seria se pudéssemos caminhar ou patinar nas águas geladas da Lagoa das Furnas? Naturalmente, por causa do clima temperado marítimo do arquipélago dos Açores, com temperaturas amenas que, em média, variam entre os 15º C (59º F) no Inverno e uns confortáveis 27º C (80º F) no Verão, pouco mais poderemos fazer do que imaginar o cenário através da magia de uma longa exposição, com a ajuda de um filtro de densidade neutra.
