"Granth Dindi." in The USA - a photo on Flickriver

            Over the weekend of July 7-9, Grand Rapids will played host to over 3,000 Hindus hailing from the Indian state of Maharashtra (which includes Mumbai) as they gathered for a conference that  focused on issues important to them. In an effort to engage the greater community & share some of their cultural & spiritual heritage, they performed what is known as "Granth Dindi." This was  a colorful parade featuring dancers, drummers & other entertainers.
