What do you do when you're unemployed, and desperate for work? Well, you throw yourself into an internship/assistant position. yay!

Just kidding. (Kind of)
But I had the great pleasure of meeting and working with photographer, Ian Ruhter. He's a commercial photographer, who does a lot of snowboard work. The shoot I was at? Shooting catalogue sets for an entire snowboard clothing line. He did some creative things, had an awesome lighting specialist and art director, and I was just thankful to be able to be around. However! My day took an unexpected turn when one of the 3 female models didn't show up, and they needed one more person to stand around in baggy winter pants and jackets. ha...guess who now has a commercial modeling gig on their resume? :) Luckily, I'm not TOO awkward in front of the camera. And luckily, the way the concepts of the shots were working out - I doubt you'll even be able to tell it's me in any of the pictures.

Anyway, it's 7:30am and it's time to drive an hour+ in LA traffic for another long day in the studio.

It's fun, I'm learning, and I'm just thankful to be getting out and about and meeting rad people.
