A Different View

            Mather Point is, far and away, the most visited overlook at Grand Canyon NP.

For a photographer developing a portfolio it's important to try to find new perspectives.  I chose to go toward the back of the overlook, on a narrow ridge just below the main walkway to capture this view to the east.

The overcast skies on this early Spring day gave me beautiful deep and rich orange and green colors, vice the more common pink and purple hues.  As evidenced by the other person taking a photo in the frame, this is not an uncommon image, but I hope my take on it generates some interest.
