ESPEJO DE AGUA
El lugar más especial del Port de la Lune es sin lugar a dudas el miroir d’eau (espejo de agua). Situado frente a la Place de la Bourse. El espejo de agua se creó para simbolizar una nueva etapa en el desarrollo urbano de Burdeos y su nueva apariencia ante el mundo. Cada año, alrededor de treinta cruceros atracan en el quai du Maréchal Lyautey para descubrir la elegancia de la entrada dieciochesca de la ciudad mágicamente reflejada en el espejo de agua.
Inaugurado en julio de 2006, el espejo de agua mágico ocupa una superficie de 3.450 m2 y es el espejo de este tipo más grande del mundo. El agua está o bien remansada en 2 centímetros de profundidad, o bien es propulsada a 2 metros de altura. Dicho espejo es la pieza central de una explanada de 5.850 m2; este amplio espacio está pavimentado con granito y flanqueado al norte y al sur por los colores del jardin des lumières según las estaciones.
