Hoover Dam & Lake Mead (from the air)

            Landing in Las Vegas, Nevada on a flight from Nashville, TN the pilot gave those of us on the left side of the plane an amazing view of Hoover Dam, Lake Mead, and the Mike O'Callaghan & Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge.  From this great view, you can also see the dam's intake towers, the visitor's center, the Arizona & Nevada overflow spillways, the electrical service grid, and a lot of the roadway leading to/from the dam and Highway 93 connecting each side of the Memorial Bridge.

Visiting Hoover Dam has always been a bucket list item of mine and I was able to check it off the list on this visit to Las Vegas.  However, getting to see it from this perspective as we arrived by plane was just icing on the cake for this bucket list item!!
