Red Kite (Milvus milvus) - a photo on Flickriver

            I spent some time in my hide checking on the Red Kites. I can now see that there are 2 chicks in the nest.

Both parents were circling in the distance and never came in to brood the chicks while I was there.

They are obviously growing well and never once called for food.

There is a group of Spruce trees beyond the Scots Pine where they have the nest. This male often tries to perch there without much success. After a few seconds flapping his wings, he flies off. 

Until the chicks start 'branching' this is my best chance to get a few shots.
