Windorah Sand Dunes - a photo on Flickriver

            I set off for the Australia Day Long weekend and a day either side, headed to the edge of the Simpson Desert in Western QLD. We travelled 3368km in these few days. I knew exactly where I wanted to go and when I wanted to shoot the few locations I had in mind so that made it easy without having to scout around much.  We endured an epic duststorm on the way out, it made it hell to see and drive and even worse when we had to stop as we couldn't wind down any windows to escape the heat. 

This shot was taken at sunset at the Windorah Sand Hills about 13km West of town. We would later capture a weak thunderstorm in the same spot. :)
