Old Bag - a photo on Flickriver

Old Bag

            In thinking about naming the picture of my old camera bag (my original MM idea, photo posted yesterday), I considered "Old Bag."  That got me thinking about the American slang term "old bag," which can be used to denote an old woman.  My wife is too young to be my model for this idea.  I thought about approaching one of my older female friends to take pictures of her wrinkles, but I figured I might lose a friend or even my life.  Even though I live in a retirement community, "macro street photography" seemed like a poor choice.  I then remembered the detailed oil painting of an old woman that I have hanging in my bedroom.  I decided she would be my model for this Macro Monday and she was very cooperative.  I have posted a photo of the full painting by Hans Barttenbach on my photostream.  I have a companion old man painting that you might see in future MM photos, if we get an appropriate theme.  HMM
