police close Downtown San Jose, February 25, 2006

It's Friday night, or actually the earliest minutes of Saturday morning, and it's City of San Jose policy to send the police to evacuate Downtown of all its partygoers.

These police officers have stopped their cars in the middle of Santa Clara Street between First and Second in order to direct all car traffic out of Downtown. Pedestrians are told to leave. A helicopter with a searchlight circles above.
