Racing the Shelf Cloud - a photo on Flickriver

            I posted the "cousin" of this image around two years ago, and went back and wasn't happy with my processing.  The contrast was low and the colors were oversaturated.

So, I've done this one and got rid of the other.

I call this "Racing the Storm Front" because that's exactly what was going on. This small shelf cloud was moving fast… I'd estimate between 50 to 60 mph, so I was going about 80-85 mph down red dirt roads just outside of Nash, Oklahoma. Every so often I'd slow down and stop, quickly jump out of the car, and snap off a few, then jump back in and the race was once again on. I just reprocessed this… just trying to remember what I saw two years ago and represent it well.
