Viso scarno, segnato da quelle
lunghe e perfide fatiche che
quelle terre senza sorte hanno inciso.

Le tue mani sofferti ma non dolenti,
creano, in quei preziosi panni bianchi;
ricami, pizzi e merletti, agli occhi ...perfetti.
Ma scontano ancora un debito atavico
di una terra desolata, assetata del sudore
degli uomini mediterranei, stanchi.

Due occhi trasparenti, neri e fulgidi
furono i tuoi oggi candidi capelli.
Da fievoli luci ed ombre ora ti circondi,
di quella che fu luce forte, calda ed assolata
che ti accompagnò nella tua arte oramai svanita

You,or woman, alone, neglected daughter
a fertile ground trampled.
Thin face, marked by the
long and treacherous hardships that
those lands without fate was affected.

Your hands suffered but not painful,
create, in those precious white cloths;
embroidery, lace, eyes ... perfect.
But still serving a debt atavistic
of a wasteland, parched sweat
from men mediterranean, tired.

Two clear eyes, blacks and brighter
today were your white hair.
By dim lights and shadows now surround you,
of what was once strong light, warm and sunny
accompanied you in your art to be vanished.

Immagini e volti che esprimono particolari sensazioni, scene di particolare enfasi ambientale, di sentimenti profondi trasmessi attraverso i gesti ed espressioni.
