Queste riprese fotografiche sono il sunto di un esteso racconto e di un’accurata selezione di immagini effettuata per questa esposizione. Si è cercato di non presentare delle immagini che avrebbero potuto turbare lo spettatore in quanto nel reportage vi sono riprese molto toccanti e soprattutto molto sconvolgenti.
.
E’ un racconto reportage che è stato effettuato in diversi luoghi della Sicilia, e in particolare in alcune case di cura dove queste persone prevalentemente ammalate, sofferenti, inabili anche al più semplice movimento vi si trovano accolte in quanto lasciati e spesso dimenticati da i loro parenti, essendo sofferenti, e quindi per loro di peso,
.
Immagini realizzate anche presso le loro abitazioni i quali vivono senza l’aiuto di nessuno o quasi e/o spesso senza un’adeguata assistenza sopravvivendo allo sbando e nel totale abbandono.
.
Riprese effettuate in alcuni ospedali di degenza e soprattutto nell'Ospedale Psichiatrico di via Pindemonte a Palermo-Sicilia- "quando ancora era operativo". Qui gli ammalati vagavano per i viali, nei cortili, negli enormi cameroni, di cui alcuni sotto stretta sorveglianza mentre altri lasciati al loro vagare senza una supervisione di infermieri o custodi. Molti di loro spesso si procuravano profonde ferite e gravi lacerazioni e spessissimo venivano lasciati così nel loro soffrire senza che veniva effettuata alcuna cura o assistenza sanitaria.

Vi sono anche riprese effettuate in alcune comunità che accolgono ed assistono questi anziani, molti anche ammalati mentalmente labili, persone che non hanno più parenti o fuggiti dalle abitazioni e soprattutto dai loro “cari” (se così possono essere definiti) in quanto maltrattati e spesso picchiati, lasciati digiuni o rinchiusi in camere senza aperture tenute in vita solo per riscuotere la loro pensione di invalidità o di anzianità.

Infine vi sono riprese effettuate anche per strada, lungo i marciapiedi e in viali dove queste persone sopravvivono “alla giornata” cercando di adattarsi ed adeguarsi alla vita disagiatissima.

These photographs are the summary of an extensive narrative and careful selection of images made for this exhibition. He tried not to present images that might disturb the viewer as in the report are taken very touching and above all very upsetting.
.
It 'a story reporting that has been made in various places in Sicily, and in particular in some nursing homes where these people mostly sick, suffering, unable to even the most simple movement, there are acceptable because they are often forgotten and left to their suffering and their relatives because of weight.
.
Pictures also produced at their homes who are living without any assistance or near and / or often without adequate support surviving in disarray and disrepair.
.
Shooting in a few hospitals in hospital and especially on Psychiatric Hospital in Palermo-Sicily-Pindemonte "when it was still operating." Here the sick were wandering the streets, in courtyards, in the huge dormitories, some of which are under close surveillance while others left to wander without their supervision of nurses or guardians. Many of them often, they would buy and severe lacerations and deep wounds are often left in their suffering so that was done without any care or health care professional.

There are also shooting in some communities that welcome and assist these seniors, many patients also mentally unstable, people who no longer have relatives or fled from their homes and especially "dear" (if that can be defined) because it is often abused and beaten, locked in rooms or left fasts without openings kept alive only to collect their pension or disability pension.
.
Finally, there are shots taken in the street, on sidewalks and streets where these people survive "the day" trying to adapt and adjust to life very discount.
.
