Storm Front! - a photo on Flickriver

Storm Front!

            Island in the Sky, Canyonlands National Park, Utah

The forecast mentioned late afternoon clouds, but I was not expecting a storm front to sweep in.  When I stopped at the Holeman Spring Canyon overlook an hour earlier, these were faintly distant clouds.  Then the sky began to darken and a wind came up as the front moved in.  At this moment I was still standing in sunlight (note the juniper tree's shadow in the foreground), as the front was almost over top of me.
